The Victorian model for public sector ethics is based around the values of:

• Responsiveness
• Integrity
• Impartiality
• Accountability
• Respect
• Leadership
• Human Rights

The values are supported by the standards issued by the Public Sector Standards Commissioner:

• define what is essential in applying the employment principles
• are binding but not prescriptive
• are supplemented by discretionary guidelines

The Public Sector Code reinforces the public sector ethic values.
