The Victorian model for public sector ethics is based around the values of:
- Responsiveness
- Integrity
- Impartiality
- Accountability
- Respect
- Leadership
- Human Rights
The values are supported by the standards issued by the Public Sector Standards Commissioner:
- define what is essential in applying the employment principles
- are binding but not prescriptive
- are supplemented by discretionary guidelines
The Public Sector Code reinforces the public sector ethic values.
